The rates shown are for the BASE rental amount. Your lease will show other charges, some are optional, some are not. There is a 9.75% tax added to ALL rentals, as well as a $26.69 reservation fee. The security deposit is handled in ONE of two ways ( both appear on your lease- YOU CHOOSE which one you want- one is the refundable security deposit (refunded within 45 days of your departure, OR our SDA (Security Deposit Alternative) of $35.00- this is non-refundable and covers you for up to $1500. in security deposit type damages- NOT including extra cleaning, trash removal, or pet damages), we no longer offer trip insurance, but you may choose to purchase trip insurance- if you do, all trip insurance costs, and claims will be handled between you and the insurance company. There are other 'extras' that we can add if you request: Pet fee, firewood, etc.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, You will receive a vacation rental lease by email or mail- you can mail, FAX or email your signed lease to us including your credit card info. We will not charge your card until we know which optional items you may or may not want. You may also pay by check . ALL final payments must be paid 30 days before arrival ( 1-828-526-3717).

    Welcome to Creekside at Glen Falls- The nightly rate is $275.00 as shown on our website (any other site may show a lower rate based on monthly rates) this farmhouse style two story home is situated in a quiet, sunny meadow with a small stream bordering the Nantahala National Forest. The main level features an open floor plan with an eat in kitchen, additional dining area next to a small living area with gas log fireplace.     Apple Mountain Tranquility- (2 week minimum) -A wonderful family retreat or a great place for a couple to relax and enjoy the mountains. This home has a great mountain view - but that's just the beginning of the attributes. Main level has the kitchen, dining area, living area with fireplace, TV, Guest BR with Full/Queen sleigh bed and 1/2 bath. There is also an entrance to the covered deck from the living area. Lower level (just a few steps-not a whole level) has laundry room and bedroom with Queen and full bath and entrance to the deck. The upper level has a large BR with Queen bed and full bath. This home also offers a private theatre room located the basement level with outside entry. There is a large projection screen, two comfy chairs and floor cushions. Apple Mountain is a scenic subdivision with lots of green space which includes a play area for children. The area is great for walking too and only a few minutes drive to downtown Highlands.     The Zen Den - You've picked the right spot for a relaxing, peaceful stay. As soon as you enter the unassuming entrance, you'll feel the pull of The Zen Den. Renovated with architectural flair, it almost feels like you're in a midtown loft apartment, yet on a smaller scale. The metal stairway leading to the 'children's loft'* separates the living room from the dining area and is one of the first things you notice, along with the wood floors and fireplace separating the kitchen from the dining/ living area with large flat screen TV. Through the kitchen area you can enter the large screened porch with woodburning fireplace, or the bedroom wing, There's a long hallway with bedrooms on the left and windows overlooking the deck on the right side. The first bedroom has a Queen bed and is next to a full bath. The next bedroo has a Queen bed and the third bedroom has two twins. There's also a 'reading nook' with a small TV - a wonderful place to read and nap. Imagine curled up with a good book with the windows open to listen to one of Highlands' famous slow rains. (Best sleep ever!) There is a washer and dryer available located in the basement which is accessed from outdoor deck steps. This home is nestled amongst the trees and feels very private even though there are other homes nearby, so you 're not secluded. THIS HOME DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. Open the windows to let the natural cool mountain air flow through.     HI HAVEN -Two level mountain cabin in the woods. Main level has large great room with vaulted ceiling, woodstove insert in the stone fireplace, surround sound CATV. The dining area is between the kitchen and the living area. There is a sunroom porch with a twin bed next to the open deck. There are two bedrooms (Queen and double) and one full bath as well as the laundry area. Upstairs is the master bedroom (Queen) and private bath. All bedrooms have a small TV. The deck at this house is especially nice for bird watching and feeding. There is a gas grill. The area is nice and private. There are close neighbors- but you don't see their homes from this house. This home has a lot of "real"wood in it- and is over 70 years old- they don't make them like this anymore-true 'Old Highlands' charm.     Hideaway Cabin- Forget all your day to day worries in this 3 bedroom, 2 bath secluded log cabin located about 3 miles from town. Even though this cabin is secluded, it's not remote. It's bordered by unspoiled properties, some of which are protected in perpetuity. The main level offers the living area with wood burning fireplace, open kitchen area, covered front porch, small screened entru porch, Mst. BR with King bed, one bath, mud room, and back open deck area. The upper level has a full bath in between two bedrooms- one is a large BR with Queen bed and TV (for DVD use), and the other is an open loft bedroom with a queen bed. The loft looks over into the living area which has a queen sleep sofa. The grounds are kept natural and are full of native wild flowers, ferns, rhododendrons and mountain laurel. There are two hammocks here, a Chimenea, fire pit- great place for story telling and making S'mores, and a corn hole game as well. This cabin is air conditioned and has satellite TV and DVD player. For the grill masters, there's a Green Egg grill to cook up your masterpiece steak or fresh caught mountain trout. One Week minimum July, August, and October, Thanksgiving and Christmas. NOTHING less than 7 nights can be rented for this home at ANY time unless it is within 18 days of the desired rental term.
