Property Description

Bear's Walk is located on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe within two miles of the California Base Lodge of Heavenly and the casinos at the state line. Within five miles from this home you can access Lake Tahoe, Stateline and the casinos, restaurants shops and boat rentals.

This deluxe mountain home is newly built and is 2,780 square feet. The home is two stories, with the living room, kitchen, one full bathroom and the master all on the top floor. The living area is all open, with large windows letting in afternoon sun. Enjoy preparing meals in the gourmet kitchen, then sit down at the custom dining table that will fit your whole family! A porch off of the dining area has the gas grill available for guest use. The living area has a large sectional couch, fireplace, television and a pool table. Off of the living area there is a full bathroom, and the master bedroom with an en suite bathroom.

The lower level consists of the remaining three bedrooms, one full bathroom and a family room with television! From the family room you can access the expansive back yard that is great for kids especially in the winter season. This home also has an attached garage, and front porch perfect for enjoying a cocktail in the afternoon sun! With 4 bedrooms, this home can sleep 9 people in beds with additional sleeping on a queen-sized inflatable mattress.

Clean, but not for little ones.

The house itself was clean and well maintained. But there were several issues during our weeklong stay. The house isn't a good fit for small children. The front yard was unkempt, and the backyard is unfenced. The unfenced property resulted in people walking through the yard at all times day and night. The property managers were informed, but unhelpful. The WiFi was spotty and only some of the TVs were working. The bright spot was a beautiful kitchen and gathering area.

Lake Tahoe Snow Trip

Great trip, 2nd year in a row we rented Bear's Walk cabin (house) to take family and grandkids. Not a lot of snow near cabin but didn't stop the kids from driving to Heavenly to play in the snow. If anyone is looking for a place large place for the kids and family this is the place for you.

Wonderful home, convenient location

The location really is great - near to groceries, casinos, skiing & hiking. The home has many comforts: 1. The BBQ grill right next to the kitchen 2. The pool table right on the main floor 3. Wifi & all the tv channels 4. Beautiful craftsmanship & modern feel The cons: 1. Lots of stairs!! You have to carry your luggage & groceries up a steep flight of stairs. Multiple trips between the car & kitchen definitely qualify for a day's workout. 2. The afternoon sun in the main room cannot be filtered from the television. Good luck seeing your show between noon-4pm. We did not try moving any of the furniture from their original location to combat this. Overall I like this house & I would stay here again. Absolutely with this property management company. Everything was organized, clear & accommodating.

Lovely house

This house was, for the most part, quite lovely. However, there are a few improvements that would make this a great vacation home. The double (full size) bed in one of the guest rooms was pretty uncomfortable for two adults to sleep in. The owners need to replace this bed with at least a queen sized bed. There was only one (1) lamp in the entire house. Overhead lighting is pretty harsh in the evenings. The TV in the living room is pretty old and doesn't have a good picture (especially with the overhead lighting). We had to purchase hangers for all the closets in the house. There were a total of 6 hangers in four bedrooms. This is a relatively inexpensive fix for the owners. The ice maker in the refrigerator made about 4 cubes of ice per day. Needs to be fixed. We purchased ice about every other day. This could be a special house with a little TLC in the yard area. There were knee high weeds in the front and back "yard". I use the word "yard" very loosely. Some nice green grass would enhance the outdoor living.

Wonderful Cabin!

Everyone on our trip thought the cabin was amazing. We all kind of walked around saying "Wow!" for the first few days. The kitchen and living room was gorgeous. We had about 4-5 people that were able to all cook in the kitchen at once. We want to do it again.
