Convenient but dated

Todd Allen stayed 4 nights on 10/7/2013

Very convenient, close to national park, town, and bypass. The cabin is a bit dated but had all of the necessary amenities. Great for couple looking for easy access and central location. Good parking. No view.

Didn't get my $10. coupon for next time

Ann Richey-Smith stayed 5 nights on 4/22/2013

I filled out the form you gave me reviewing my last stay at Ripling Waters, my husband dropped it off at the office but did not receive the promised $10.00 coupon for our next visit.

Manager Response

Thank you for letting us know because we do make mistakes sometimes. If we can correct them we will. We hope you will be back to see us in the future. Deb

Very nice stay except for the construction noise

Curtis & Mary Phillips stayed 3 nights on 10/8/2012

The Rippling Waters bungalow was clean with a nice wood burning fireplace. It's an older house, but well-maintained. When we arrived there was wood waiting to start a nice fire. The brook in front of the house made it sound like it was raining when you stepped outside. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had nice appliances. The stay itself was fine and relaxing. During the day it was very noisy mostly due to construction nearby. Other than that we had no complaints and enjoyed our stay, but find out how the construction is going before you book it. As far as the services, we were only there 3 nights and didn't have to ask for anything. The staff was very accommodating checking us in and out. The bathroom needs updating and is a little small so I wouldn't recommend a family of 3, max 4. The house was close to Gatlinburg, but too far to walk if you're older. The National Park entrance was very close and convenient to get to.

Needs a little TLC

Nana for three stayed 2 nights on 9/14/2012

My husband and I stayed here last month. First I will say it was very clean, and no bugs! I hate bugs so I was happy about that. But, Rippling Waters is very, very old and outdated. It looks exactly as the picture, but when you get up close, it needs alot of TLC. The porch looks very rotten, I was afraid to walk on it. (But it was fine) The air conditioning did not work well -it never got under 79 degrees and my husband set it on 69 when we first arrived. We had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed, so we could feel the ceiling fan. Also, the mattresses on the bed are from the 70's. We both had terrible back aches and tossed and turned all night. The view from the front porch was a "dump area". There were old televisions, mattresses, etc thrown in a big pile. Not very classy! We would stay again with Mountain Laurel, but we wouldnt stay at Rippling Waters. Hope they will give it some well deserved attention.

Manager Response

Thank you for staying with us .We regret that your stay was not a plesant one. We have addressed the issues of the ac and the mattresses with the owner of the chalet. The dump area is from the old motel next door to us. We have contacted the city concerning this. We hope this issue will be cleared up soon. We do appreciate your planning on staying with us in the future.

Always a nice place!!

courtney stayed 2 nights on 8/24/2012

Rippling waters is always a nie place to stay. Its close enough to the city where u can walk down or catch the trolley less than a block away. One major upgrade from our last stay was they finally got a larger tv so watching tv from the bedroom i possible.
